april 26, 2007 luggage store gallery edward schocker's bill wolter's This was Edward's first Bay Area performance since his return from Japan, featuring the debut of a new duo with Zachary Watkins. Bill installed and performed the live polyrhymic spinning disks "Ode to Jean Baudrillard", which combine aural and visual polyrhythms, in a trio with Sean (on the Ode) and Patricia (projection). This performance focused on the instrument as visual event, from the sprawling tabula musica of the resonant, revolving Ode to the single water-filled glass vase reaching critical frequency. documentation audio video |
