about the great wall

This Corridor seeks to
illuminate the north facade of the former Breuner's Furniture Store, on West Grand between Broadway and Valley in Oakland. This Great Wall a seven-story windowless tabula rasa stretching the length of a city block provides one of Oakland's most spectacular urban canvases. The Corridor will take place in three one-hour movements:

Key Route Inn, myrmyr's meditation on the building that flanked 2201 Broadways north faade, destroyed by fire in the 1930s

The Great Wall, Shudder's contrapuntal exploration of the current identity of the site, and

Good Times, a new anthem drawn from the momentum of urban redevelopment, composed by Dan Plonsey and realized by string ensemble.
